Do Blondes Have More Fun...?

...I think this one will. The best part are the compliments, actually... But, to give you all the back story.



Foooor awhile now I've wanted super white blonde hair. I've been leading up to suggesting it to my mother for a few months, but from her subtle doubt I quickly realised that she wasn't going to say 'hell yes', or pay for it, but she wouldn't stop me if I did it myself. Then! I found the cut, the perfect cut, while designing my new jewellery range. See below-



And I asked Facebook their thoughts. Because I didn't have the pic on me I showed everyone these:




But they said no, no, no. You a silly head, Danni. But they voted in the original, so that's awesome sauce, right?

My hairdresser thinks -she's nuts! Fresh dyed brunette hair dyed pure white in a day??? I went in at 12.30, had to go to work at 5.00... and left the salon at 5.20. Oops. Three bleaches and a toner later, I had blonde on top, brunette on bottom, and I popped back in the next day for 45 minutes for the fringe and layers. Wow.

I didn't think it would be that intense! Or take soooo long. But it's so awesome now. One of my lovely Facebook friends thinks I look like this:

Why Pin up Girls are Sexier When DRESSED.

So, anyone who knows me well knows that I heart dresses more than anything except my cat. And, ok, a few select people- but mostly it's the dresses, ok? And, they also know that I take booty to a new bootilicious level. Thus, the dress style I favour is, far and away, the 50's Pin-Up swing dress.

Now, there are few kinks that need working out in my conviction to this Scene. For instance-

1. Hair

I can't do it. Fringe I'm ok at, when I can be bothered blow drying my hair, but the curls, the rolls, the whole kit and kaboodle? I'm a fan with no plan.



2. Shoes

For some reason I get to the shop and think 'SHOES! Orrrr... NEW DRESS!!!' and always get the dress. I need more shoes, damn it!



3. Dress

MORE AND MORE AND MORE! I'm not a one dress kind of girl, baby, I'm going all the way. ; P



4. Stockings

Because beneath all the lush cloth I want extra lush lattices of fishnets. These are the naughty to a person's nice.




5. Accessories

Accessories are pretty much the icing on the cake, the lights on the Christmas tree. I love accessories so much it isn't funny. And I should! I make a career from selling them. But, the more dresses I buy the more accessories I need- to match, you know?






6. Lingerie

AAAANNNDDD undies are the caramel in the delicious centre of the chocolate world. Undies, my loves, are scrumptious and sexy and make you feel 100 million dollars when all you're doing is sitting at work. I need more, STAT!




Soon I'll be pin-up queen of Canberra. ; P

Week 1 - the Shopping List

This Thursday I get paid again, finally. I missed all my cash from last semester, I spent it so quickly (on Alannah Hill gloves and 20 new dresses, but nevertheless I am poor) and this time I need to watch it closer. While I waited for the $$ signs to reemerge, I made the list. I think this might be a fortnightly habit, now. ^_^

1.

Red Lipstick

Red lipstick is something I've wanted for ages but have failed steadily to find the right shade. Bold and romantically seductive, I'm consumed with lust when I think of red smears of plump, feminine lips.

Collar and Bowtie

Because women toeing the line of drag is sexy, and these would look amazing with a white dress and black waistcoat.

Men's Work Shirt

I recently woke up with a girl who used these as pajamas. Pretty much, she was the sexiest lady I'd ever seen, her breasts pressing suggestively against the masculine cut, her thighs peeking beneath the hem.

50's Beaded Cardigan

I love the pin-up look, 50's, Mad Men, the whole shoop-shoop shebang. I have one, true, but who can stop at just one when it comes down to it? Not me, that's for sure.

Suspender Skirt

I must have one. Suspender, for some strange, compelling reason, fascinate me. However, I do not wear pants. Don't ask, it's a long story of hate and hips, and dresses are the perfect garment anyway. So, the Sus-skirt. It took me so long to even find a good image that wasn't of a four year old...

Granny Boots

My boots died a horrible, zip related accident. The solution- buy new boots! This time with laces! It's so crazy it may just work. I reeeeaaly want the bright yellow ones. <3

There is more (so MUCH more) floating beneath recesses of my consciousness- frothy pinkness, pearls, cream- but, it will have to wait. There are other considerations. Hair cuts, new jewellery to be made and worn... It's stealing precious fashion coinage, but a necessary evil. Soon, my dears, will come the result of my shop.
